Jemeluk
Amed Beach is a beach where tourists both domestic or foreign can carry along
loved ones, family, friends, friend or boyfriend. The beach can be achieved
with a time of 30 minutes from downtown Karangasem, Amlapura very easily
accessed using either a motorcycle, car, minibus, or buses. From Denpasar This
place is ± 78 km. Starting from Batubulan terminal by bus to Amlapura take 2.5
hours, followed by driving a minibus up to 30 minutes to Amed. On the way to
the beach you can enjoy the view of a typical village surrounded by green hills
and paddy field. The cool air will make people feel comfortable during their
stay in this place.
As for
the history of why the so-called 'Amed' could not be ascertained because there
is no clear written evidence is found. But from reliable sources say that the
name of an existing Jemeluk before Karangasem kingdom stands with the name
'menyeluk' which comes from the root word 'ins', which means that menyeluk sea
to land. Then over time the name changed to Jemeluk of unknown until now. Most
people here are fishermen, farmers, and a few others as salt makers.
It is a
very interesting addition to the beach is underwater scenery charming. Calm sea
and clear make this place used as a place for diving and snorkeling, coral reefs
are diverse and beautifully made many tropical marine fish nesting and play
here and make it as one of the most attractive destination for tourists diving
hobby with this sport.
Manufacture
of processed salt in the traditional way by the local community is no less
interesting. The scenery surrounding views of hills Jemeluk very exotic for
tourists. In the distance the towering Mount Agung, the blue sea, a row of
fishing boats (catamarans) on the beach. This is paradise for tourists.
Regarding

This
tourist attraction has a sloping terrain with hills where the foothills that

blend of rolling hills with views of the calm blue sea and rocks and charming
